Biological function

How discovered?

XopAS was predicted to be a type 3 effector based on homology to HopAS1, a type 3 effector from Pseudomonas syringae. However, XopAS of strain 101 appears to be separated into two ORFs XGA_0764 and XGA_0765 by internal stop codon (Potnis et al., 2011).
